Nepal, a country rich in cultural diversity and historical significance, is a treasure trove of stories waiting to be told. Museums, archives, and the art of curation play pivotal roles in preserving and showcasing these narratives while nurturing community engagement and education. Taragaon Next has become a unique institution in Nepal, contributing to preserving cultural materials, promoting historical awareness, and connecting communities.
It has been nearly 11 years since the old Carl Pruscha building* was restored and announced as the Taragaon Museum. The vision of the Saraf Foundation became even stronger and more prominent with the announcement of the Nepal Architecture Archive (NAA) in 2016. The foundation continues to collect the modern history of Nepal that might otherwise have been lost or discarded. These materials are now accessible to the public through the Taragaon Museum within Taragaon Next.
