IPDM Services (INDIA) Pvt. Ltd.
LA 78
The landscape design of the corporate-commercial centre, inspired by the five elements of nature and Vastu principles, attempts to create a unique sense of place. It combines designwith public art, encouraging a harmonious environment for business and leisure.
The main objective of the project located in the business city of Surat with a long legacy of diamond trading was to put the city’s mark on the global diamond business by creating the world’s largest office building as a hub for diamond trading activities.

Landscape Concept

The complex has been designed as a spatial composition of a building, ten towers with intermediate spaces. The courts are enveloped by towers in the north and south directions with a connecting central spine. The main landscape design concept places the building, ten towers, and the central spine in a garden setting, manifested in a series of courts, each around an acre in area. Each court is designed as a unique place in terms of its landscape character, varied, and yet part of the whole, in harmony with the larger landscape. It caters to multiple functions including alfresco dining adjacent to restaurants, informal meeting areas, and walks in and around to experience the varying aesthetics of the landscape. The courts also cater to the fire tender route. The various entries to the complex are designed as distinct ones, from outside and inside.
