A plunge pool designed as a homage to the timeless Indian step-wells, the kund is constructed using locally sourced basalt stone with a top surface of red sandstone. Water from a nearby pond fills the kund through a spout, echoing the charm of farm tubewells. Excess water flows into a neighbouring well, completing the cycle. The team engaged with local grinding stone makers to contribute to the project. This infusion of craftsmanship fosters a sense of community, enriching the project with heritage and shared purpose, creating a sanctuary that tries honours the past while embracing the present.
