volume 1 | issue 1

The idea of floating a landscape journal has taken a definite form with the release of this first issue.
This is truly a dream come true for all of us. Response received from various professionals and persons related to the field, in the form of letters, articles, essays and submissions is overwhelming, which has added an extra pie of excitement and optimism in our work. We have tried to make the introductory issue of LA as comprehensive as possible. The idea is to touch various aspects of the profession. Detailed essays and project profiles on varied subjects shall follow in the up coming issues.
Vegetation plays a very important role in shaping the landscape of a place. In our first issue, we are featuring a detailed article on the role of trees in design.
A peep in the historical side shall unfold Mughal Landscape Concepts, with their ideas of symmetry, geometry, balance and formality. Chapter on ecology and environment deals with wetlands. Along with these features, Horticultural notes has information of planting and transplanting of trees and shrubs.
Please feel free to write to us for your suggestions and comments.
